What is a CampusID?

Your CampusID is the account name associated with your digital identity at Georgia State. It is clearly printed on the reverse side of all PantherCards distributed after Fall Semester 2007. It is also a part of your official Georgia State email address (e.g., campusID@gsu.edu for faculty/staff and campusID@student.gsu.edu for students).

One of Georgia State’s Identity Management initiatives involves implementation of single sign-on (or reduced sign-on) technologies. As a product of these initiatives you will use your CampusID and password to login to many of the systems utilized in daily life at Georgia State. To this end, all new students, faculty, and staff must activate their CampusID. Activating your CampusID requires you to select personalized security questions/answers and enter an initial password. The personalized security/answers will enable you to reset your password in the event you lose it in the future.

It is a part of your official Georgia State email address (e.g., campusID@gsu.edu for faculty/staff and campusID@student.gsu.edu for students). All new students, faculty, and staff must activate their CampusID. To activate your CampusID you must select your personalized security questions/answers and initial password.

What is my CampusID?

You may retrieve your CampusID using the online Campus Directory at http://campusdirectory.gsu.edu. If you have problems managing your CampusID online, you may contact the IS&T Help Center at 404-413-HELP (4357) or by email at help@gsu.edu.

Where do I find my CampusID password?

You can set your CampusID password at http://campusid.gsu.edu.

How do I activate my CampusID?

You may activate your CampusID online at https://campusid.gsu.edu. First, you will be prompted to provide some personal information to verify your identity. Next, you will be required to select and provide answers to three security questions. These security questions will enable you to reset your password in the event you lose it in the future. Finally, you create your own password and you are done. If you have difficulty activating your CampusID you may contact the IS&T Help Center at 404-413-HELP (4357) or by email at help@gsu.edu.

When do I receive a CampusID?

For students, your CampusID is created the same day you are accepted. For faculty/staff, your CampusID is created the same day your New Hire paperwork is entered into payroll by Human Resources.

How do I change my CampusID password?

You can change your CampusID password at http://campusid.gsu.edu.

What if I am having difficulty activating my CampusID online?

You can activate your CampusID online at http://campusid.gsu.edu. If you have problems doing so, please contact the IS&T Help Center at 404-413-HELP (4357) or by email at help@gsu.edu.

What if I cannot remember my CampusID?

Your CampusID is printed on the back of all newly issued PantherCards. You may retrieve your CampusID using the online Campus Directory at http://campusdirectory.gsu.edu.

How do I receive a CampusID?

For students, the process varies depending on the Admissions procedures of the particular college and/or degree program to which you have been admitted. In some cases you may receive correspondence informing you of your CampusID. Regardless of variations in Admissions procedures, you may retrieve your CampusID using the online Campus Directory at http://campusdirectory.gsu.edu. You may activate your CampusID, change your password, reset a lost password, or change security questions at http://campusid.gsu.edu.
